I've got an existing patio area, can you cover that?
Decking is an excellent way to cover an old tired looking patio and is one of our most common jobs.
If treated annually, with a good wood preserver, your new deck should last between 15 - 40 years.
I want a Deck but I'm not sure how big or what shape?
DECadence will work with you to design a deck that meets your needs and compliments your garden. We are pleased to offer advice to you, free of charge.
An average project takes 2-3 days to complete i.e. Deck, Balustrade etc. Your more complex structural projects can take 2-3 weeks. Of course all are at the mercy of the British weather.
What do I need to do to keep my Deck looking good?
A good wash with a stiff broom and soapy water after winter will keep your deck looking good. To maintain the Deck long term you should treat with a recognised Deck preserver. Some come with a wood stain combined, if you want to vary the shade of your timber.
Can you supply timber for me to construct my own Deck?
DECadence only supply and install Decks however your local timber merchant should be able to help.
DECadence charge decking by the square meter and pergolas and balustrade depending on size and complexity. Each project is priced uniquely, and only following a site visit, to ensure quotes are accurate and sustainable.
Any ground or gradient can be decked, it just means some jobs are more complex than others. We have a variety of methods for conquering most terrain.
Can Decking be used to cover over a pond, as I have young children?
Decking is a great way of childproofing any garden including covering ponds and restricting access to dangerous areas.
Do I need planning permission for my Deck?
Generally no however if you want a raised balcony it is possible. DECadence will guide you through this process.
Is Decking suitable around a pond, hot tub or swimming pool?
Yes very suitable. The grooves in decking make it less slippery and the tannalisation in the wood make it water repellent.
