The Brief...

The customer wanted to cover an unsightly failed rockery on a sloping garden with a small deck, big enough to entertain four.

	Firstly the area is levelled and a weed suppressing membrane is laid.
Then the frame is built and the supports are set into the ground. The deck will last twice as long if its not in contact with the soil. The balustrade posts are then added.
	The steps are fixed and levelled before the decking boards are secured.
Finally the handrail and balustrade are fitted and the legs are clad in deck.
